Hablar seriamente de terrorismo islámico resulta complicado en un país como el nuestro, que se ha visto golpeado no hace mucho en su mismo seno por un atentado de una magnitud y unas consecuencias que han escapado a muchas previsiones. Teniendo en cuenta cómo se desarrollaron las pasadas elecciones y el actual clima de irresponsabilidad imperante en las continuas declaraciones de nuestros dirigentes políticos resulta complicado pretender afirmar que España sigue siendo un blanco claro potencial para estos ataques sin que a uno le tachen de fascista que desea instaurar un clima de miedo, o vocero de la izquierda que trata de evitar que se preste atención a la "rendición del gobierno ante ETA".
La realidad, como siempre, es más compleja de lo que nos muestra el telediario (antenas mediáticas de dichas fuerzas políticas). Teniendo en cuenta lo mucho que nos jugamos (la seguridad de la nación, ojo no como concepto abstracto sino como la suma de nuestras familias, amigos y vecinos) creo que no está de más prestar atención a ciertos datos que aparecen por la red y que son un indicativo inquietante relativos a nuestra estabilidad y a la protección de la población.
Así pues, la pregunta que nos hacemos es sencilla, siempre y cuando de verdad dejemos de lado partidismos políticos (cosa de la que seguramente más de uno pondrá en duda nada más constatar la orientación política de este blog): ¿somos los españoles actualmente un verdadero blanco potencial del terrorismo islámico tras el 11M?
La respuesta parece ser, por desgracia, afirmativa. Pero ¿cómo analizar esta cuestión tan espinosa sin incurrir en errores mediáticos? Y es que ciertos comentarios vertidos en televisión no sólo son una muestra de una probable ignorancia, sino también de ejemplo de qué clase de perlas hay que evitar soltar ante la audiencia, porque precisamente, pueden producir indignación entre musulmanes corrientes.
Prestad atención a la rubia y la cara de estupefacción que se le queda a su compañero ante semejantes salidas de tono:
Bien, dejando de lado las mezquitas... sí que parece incontestables que nos encontramos ante ciertas alarmas que no podemor dejar de ignorar.
De un lado, y por ejemplo, tenemos la intensa actualidad judicial, resultado de continuas operaciones contra eventuales grupos potencialmente peligrosos. En los últimos dos años, muchas personas han sido detenidas e imputadas por colaboración o pertenencia a grupos terroristas de corte sislamista.

Por otro lado, la posibilidad de que España sea objeto de un ataque terrorista ha sido reconocida por alguna que otra personalidad relevante en el mundo de la Justicia. Me refiero a declaraciones concretas como las del Juez Baltasar Garzón de quien se podrán decir ciertas cosas, pero no que no es conocedor de la realidad que representan los fenómenos terroristas.

Me gustaría llamar la atención acerca de las palabras de este señor, por una sencilla razón: si habla de lucha contra el terrorismo deja muy claro que la única que es válida es aquella que se hace con la ley en la mano (sea nacional o internacional) y que en caso de que dicho marco llegal no sea eficiente lo que hay que hacer es cambiarlo, no saltárselo.

...Pero que quede muy claro: sólo la ley y el Estado de derecho son eficaces en la lucha contra el terrorismo yihadista o cualquier otro. Es una evidencia incontestable que los espacios sin derecho no han aportado nada a la seguridad mundial.

Por otro lado, destacados "terroristas carismáticos" claman desde hace mucho por la recuperación de Al- Ándalus, tierra que consideran conquistada por infieles que han de ser expulsados. Además, y para terminar que no quiero extenderme, los últimos atentados cometidos en el norte de África evidencian, según todos los expertos, una reestructuración de estos grupos violentos más allá del estrecho lo que hace sospechar que objetivos concretos como Ceuta y Melilla son particularmente vulnerables y necesitan una protección especial.
Por otra parte parece que no sería descartable, debido a la lógica interna de estos grupos, que un atentado de las características como el 11M fuese propenso de ser repetido, cuanto menos en grado de tentativa. En este punto creo pertinete ceder la palabra a Fernando Reinares, un verdero experto en terrorismo reconocido a nivel internacional y que ha sido asesor del Ministrio del Interior español:
Estas y otras preocupantes circunstancias podrían tener consecuencias para la seguridad nacional tanto a corto como sobre todo a medio y largo plazo, al producirse alteraciones en la modalidad de posibles nuevos actos de terrorismo internacional, siendo ahora más verosímil de cuanto lo era hace dos o tres años que se perpetren en España atentados suicidas o contra blancos altamente simbólicos y dotados de considerables medidas de protección. Sin que ello suponga olvidar la imprevisible operatividad de células independientes autoconstituidas, cuyo rango de acciones iría del asesinato individual al uso de artefactos explosivos improvisados contra blancos desprotegidos.
Ahora bien, que algún acto de terrorismo internacional con las características básicas de los atentados del 11 de marzo de 2004 sea más probable, caso de volver a producirse uno nuevo en nuestro país, no quiere decir que sea el único tipo de atentado yihadista posible. Cabe que tanto el creciente señalamiento de España como blanco por parte de al-Qaeda como sobre todo el surgimiento de su extensión regional para el Magreb, a partir de un proceso de internacionalización del GSPC argelino, influyan sobre el estilo de atentados que pudieran perpetrarse contra intereses o ciudadanos españoles, sobre todo dentro pero también fuera del propio territorio nacional. Así, por ejemplo, resulta actualmente más verosímil de cuanto lo era hace dos o tres años que un nuevo acto de terrorismo internacional en España adopte la modalidad del atentado suicida. No sólo porque se acomoda a las preferencias operativas del directorio de al-Qaeda, sino también porque el GSPC ha justificado explícitamente ese tipo de actos desde febrero de 2005 y nada impide que individuos reclutados en nuestro país para llevar a cabo misiones suicidas en Irak o en otros lugares puedan cometer atentados así pero en territorio español.
